Samar has moved from Syria to America, and everything is different. Even at school, she’s being bullied and made fun of, and this makes Samar feel like she’s the worst student in her class. But one day Samar notices a school spelling bee coming up, and she decides to compete to prove to everyone that she is smart too! But practising is harder than she thinks…

This story shows the importance of being persistent. Sometimes, others might try to put us down and make us feel like we can’t do anything, but with a great amount of persistence and effort we can achieve our goals. I love how Samar stayed confident and kept trying hard. It teaches us that success only comes to those who try hard and never give up.

This was such a wonderful and inspiring story, with great morals. I definitely recommend it!
