Yusuf is a young boy who lives in Canada. His cousin Ahmed and his mum are coming from Syria to live with them because Ahmed’s dad had passed away. Yusuf plans so many fun things him and his cousin would do together. But on the next day, an ice storm hits their city and they are both mostly stuck inside the house. Yusuf gets upset and mad, but he later learns to appreciate everything else he has and that blessings are all around him.

I liked this book so much and I learnt so much from it. It reminded me of the situation during lockdown, where I was stuck inside for a long time. I learnt to appreciate all the blessings that I had and be grateful.

This story has an absolute great moral about being grateful. It is a must-read!

May Allah make us amongst those who are always grateful for his blessings. Ameen.
