Sami sits by himself at school. Eats alone and doesn’t have any friends at all. Sami hates going to school because he is always bullied and left out. But one day, Sami realises that he’s not the only one being teased. When a new student called Gamba joins the class, all the other kids treat him even worse. This makes Sami feel distressed and disheartened. Sami has to decide if he’ll keep quiet or take action.
This story shows the importance of friendship and taking action if you see something wrong. This story has a very important lesson and it reminds me of the hadith: If anyone sees a bad act, he should stop it with his hand. If he cannot do that, he should warn them with his tongue to stop.” (Sahih Muslim).
I love how this story includes cultural facts about Gamba’s home country; Zimbabwe. It generally made me curious to find out more about Zimbabwe.
This story was amazing, and the moral was very beautiful. This is a wonderful, must-read book. You can purchase your copy from @kubepublishing
Voiceover by my cute 3 year old cousin, who loves stories just like me! He thoroughly enjoyed the story. ????
