Hassan is a young, Somali boy who intends on making a big feast for his mum. However, he only has a little bit of food and he doesn’t know what to do.

The Imam of the masjid tells him to say Bismillah and have trust in God. So, with one Bismillah and a hopeful heart, everything changes in a split second.

I adored this book so much. It was all about brotherhood, sharing and trust in Allah. Allah is our Lord, and he can provide for anyone.

I love the reminder at the end. It is a hadith from our beloved Messenger of Allah (SAW): If you have trust in Allah, he will surely provide sustenance for you just as he does for the birds. They fly out in the morning with empty stomachs and return in the afternoon with full stomachs.”

It was such a beautiful book. It is definitely a must-read!

It has kind of made me hungry because it was all about food!

Every time I have soup for lunch, I always imagine that it’s the wonderful soup in the story: Bismillah Soup!
