This story is about a young girl called Basirah, who loves to play basketball. She tries so hard to become the captain of the basketball team. Her dad tells her to say Insha Allah which means ‘If God wills’. Basirah thinks the word ‘Insha Allah’ would definitely make her dreams come true.

This story teaches us that Insha Allah isn’t a word that will make our wishes come true. Sometimes, even though we say Insha Allah, we still might not get what we want. But, it teaches us to be more patient and trust Allah.

I really loved this story and I learnt a big lesson by reading it. I used to feel sad if I said Insha Allah hoping to get something but never got it. But now, because I read it, I learnt to be more patient if things don’t happen the way I planned.
