Let it go

This book is about a little boy, who has a terrible day. He gets left out when his friends are playing a game, loses his ball, and things don’t go the way he expects. He doesn’t forgive any of the people who hurt him and carries on with a heavy heart. But then by the end of the day, the boy starts to think of all his anger that was in him. He learns that we should forgive each other and go to sleep with a clean heart.

I read this to my little cousin and I asked her what ‘cleaning your heart’ meant. She said it meant to rinse your mouth clean. I laughed at this suggestion, and told her it actually meant to forgive and not to hold grudges. Perhaps she meant having a clean mouth by saying good words. After all, saying good things leads to a clean heart.

This story was really nice and I also learnt that we should forgive each other. Always keep heart clean and don’t carry the heavy burdens that happen to you during the day.
